On February 20th, Troop 285 conducted our fourth preparation hike for the
upcoming 50 Miler Hike in the Grand Canyon. Starting from the trailhead
on Embudo Trail, we hiked about 3 miles up to the ridge high above Albuquerque.
We had great weather, and even better company! A practice cooking contest was
won by Todd W's cooking group, who got a quart of water boiling in about
5 minutes. They won their choice of instant drink mixes or soups to enjoy
with their lunch!
