Troop 285 headed out on Saturday, January 30th, 1999, to (S)tingley Coliseum for an evening of
ice hockey in the desert. As well, our Honor Guard packed the flags in order to be able to present
the colors during the singing of the National Anthem. Although we had a small group of scouts,
every one attending had a great evening. The only disappointment was the final score - The Arkansas Ice Bats 6,
the New Mexico Scorpions 4.
Thanks to the parents who attended and drove, and to Derek M. for organizing the evening!

Here's the Scout contingent at the game, plus our fabulous Troop banner - it seems
everyone at the game knew who we were! From the left: Wesley S., Dan R., John H., Nick H., Rick Mondick,
Caleb K., Derek M., Jerry S., and Gerald C. Stratton. |
Yep, there was some hockey being played too, at least whenever there wasn't a fight on
the ice. |
We even had the honor of the presence of four graduate Troop 285 Scouts, now grannies for the
Troop, at the game. From left, Chris S., David M., Dominick P., and Christian M. |
