You have one day for every day of excused absence to make
up your work. According to the handbook, late homework will
not be accepted.
Passes:
You have only two bathroom passes per six weeks. Please try
to do your business during passing periods. If you do not use
your passes, they can be traded at the end of the six weeks
to drop homework grade.
Material:
Please come to class with your needed materials. You will
be allowed only one warning, and after that I will give you
tardies s you are having to return to your locker after
the bell rings (which results in a detention).
Entering the Classroom:
The bell does not begin the class. Students begin the class
by entering the classroom and immediately starting on their
bellwork.
Enter the room quietly and orderly.
Sit at your assigned seat.
Begin your bellwork.
Leaving the Classroom:
The bell is the signal for the teacher that he/she needs to
make a decision about dismissing the students.
When the bell sounds, remain seated and quiet.
Wait for the teacher to dismiss the class before gathering
materials and leaving.
Signal:
The signal is "May I have your attention please?"
Stop whatever you are doing.
Put your hands on your desk.
Keep your eyes on the teacher.
Maintain attention on the teacher.
Finishing Work Early:
If you finish your work early, do not disturb others around
you. They are trying to finish their work, too. Please make
one of the following choices:
Read a book.
Write a letter (Do NOT pass notes).
Draw.
Work on an assignment from another class.
Make-up work:
When you are absent, the class does not stop and wait. It is
your responsibility to find out what you missed and make it
up in the appropriate time. I am NOT responsible for reminding
you of make-up work.
Ask a friend for any notes, or assignments.
Check with me after class or, before/after school
for handouts/assignments.
Handing in Papers:
Papers must be handed in for grades to be recorded. Please
make sure you hand in all assignments requested in the proper
place (NOT on my desk).
Make sure you have a heading at the top. I will take off
5 points for no heading.
Quietly and without disruption, pass your paper to the person
in front of you after you have received the papers behind
you.
