A 62 y/o female presented with a history of abdominal discomfort for several months. Physical exam suggested a possible abdominal mass. Laboratory studies were unremarkable. An ultrasound exam (not pictured) showed a multicystic mass in the region of the pancreas. A CT scan of the abdomen was performed and selected images are displayed above. A provisional diagnosis of mucinous cystadenoma or mucinous cystadenocarcinoma was made. The patient underwent surgery and a mucinous cystadenocarcinoma was successfully removed.
