My record collection
goes back 95 years. While I enjoy certain other types of music, my main
musical passion is for the music that was popular back in the 1920's and
1930's. This is the music that preceded what is today called the Big Band
Era. It was upbeat and unbelievably cheerful. There is no equal today.
Listening to it I often wonder what it must have been like to live in such
a world. Music today is anything but happy. Unfortunately, very little
music from that era has been reissued.
