TEXAS BLACKSMITHTEXAS BLACKSMITH (subscribe below) is an email list for discussion about blacksmithing related events in the Texas area. A calendar of events is updated with locations, dates and details of activities relating to each event. List member participation is encouraged for updating the information. An archive of messages on the list has a search function. Texas Blacksmith images include photos of recent Hammerfests, other meetings, historical Texas shops and blacksmithing related clip art. IRONFESTThe IRONFEST list (subscribe below), is for discussion of a regional Blacksmithing conference, IRONFEST, in the area of Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Arkansas and Louisiana. All blacksmithing organizations in the region are being invited to join in the planning. Maps and registration forms to the conference may be found on the IronFest.org web site. The site is Grapevine, Texas located between Dallas and Ft. Worth, and the dates are from Friday, June 1 through Sunday, June 3, 2001. National demonstrators are Frank Turley, Wendel Broussard, Mike Boone and Jeff Mohr. An auction and gallery will also be included. The conference is planned to display the talents of international, national, and regional blacksmiths which will participate in the demos and exhibitions. Members may choose to receive email messages and/or simply view the messages and files on the lists websites.
