Help restore butterfly territory by planting special butterfly gardens! Butterflies are the only living creature on earth that are known to change their dna - going from a larval worm to a glorious fluttering fragile color in flight! Butterfly gardens can be established in a small container, wrapped around a house or extended througout a neighborhood. Help relink butterfly pathways and flyways by creating butterfly webs! The Art and Science of Butterfly Gardens for Parents and Kids! This is great for everybody! Learn butterfly basics, develop butterfly stories. Discover what transformation and biodiversity mean and what butterfly development and stages are. Teach children about butterfly habitats, migration, ecological links, and native plants. Study your own local ecology and build butterfly gardens, webs zones through butterfly garden and ecological design. Draw your own maps, play the classroom container games, answer the Story Box, complete the questions and answer game, do the assigned art projects, make the butterfly chain, teach children to listen to the landscapes and do their own design, play the coloration game, produce plant signatures, receive a butterfly garden sampler, create your own butterfly garden and butterfly conservation tool box while reading, writing, researching and making new friends. Assignments are emailed every week; final drawings make a portfolio. A special BioReserve Certificate is issued by Ecological Research and Design upon completion of your butterfly garden and this course. This course has been designed by a professional natural science teacher. Academic skills include reading, writing, art, and design through the use of concrete fact, concepts, processes and synthesis. Your hands on garden project and fun completes the learning cycle - what could be better than learning and helping nature at the same time? Each week you may ask a question to our ecologist and she will answer you! You can talk to your very own personal ecologist! |
