KNEBWORTH 1979
Looking at the stage from the audience. During sound check, the band was playing "Trampled Underfoot" so I walked out into the field to listen. Looking out towards the audience from the stage. Jimmy fired his laser bow at the white tent in the background and lit it up.
Enormous lighting rig with hundreds of par cans and aircraft landing lights. There was a water-cooled laser in the truss over Jimmy and several on stage. Backstage were generators, water tank truck, rear screen video projection equipment and dressing room trailers.
Massive Showco sound system taking shape during set-up.
Led Zeppelin Knebworth crew about to board ship for Denmark to do warm-up shows in Copenhagen. I am second from the left.
