Dr. Alonza Brooks Chapman, is the son of Alton Brooks & Anna Louise (Barganier) Chapman.   He was given his grandfather Barganier's first name, with his mother changing the spelling of  Alonzo to Alonza because she thought it sounded better, and his father middle name, Brooks.  He was born on Dec 13, 1934.  Brooks married Barbara Ann Perry on 21 August 1957 at the First Baptist Church, Floydada, Floyd Co., Texas.  Barbara is the Daughter of John Everett and Helen Geneva (Tinnin) Perry.  Brooks passed away of cancer on Sept 17, 2004 at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, Texas.  He was laid to rest at the Hillcrest Memorial Park on Northwest Highway.
