RELOAD
GUILT EXPIATION PROCESSINFORMATION PAGE TWO.
What will happen to me?
. The day the punishment is to be carried out, your meals
will be timed in such a way as to allow about 5 hours of not
eating prior to that punishment. We'll both have a fairly
good idea that the time is getting close. If you have any
blood sugar problems, allowances will be made for that; but,
I don't want to risk your getting sick during the punishment.
. When it seems like we've pretty well covered everything
which needs to be covered, I inform you of the sentence, we do
any additional talking that's needed, and I send you into the
bathroom to take a long, hot shower while everything's being
set up. (Coming to Seminole eliminates most of the set up; but,
I still prefer that you stay in the shower for at LEAST a half
hour, to remove any debries from the pores on your back; and,
to give me time to do all of the last minute things I need to get
done.) How long set up takes depends upon whether I have any
help doing it, or not; but, the average is about an hour. This
gives you a chance to stand under the spray and get your back
really clean; but, people usually take their notebook and pen in
with them, as well. (Writing also help you to deal with the fear
that EVERYONE feels during this time... )
. When it's time to come out of the shower, you're wearing
scrub pants, a shortened hospital gown, socks, and thick soled
running shoes (to protect your feet from being bruised by the
base of the frame, even though, at this point, you'd prefer that
they could be "for running..." {wink}) You'll need to answer 6
final consent questions on video tape. In between, I've put an
open-faced terry cloth hood (padding in several strategic places,
such as the back of the neck, etc.) onto you; so, your identity
could really only be verified by voice comparison; but, it helps
to protect my tail-end. These are the questions:
1) Are you here and doing this of your own free will?
2) Have I, or anyone else, made any threats, of any nature, to
cause you to remain here; or, to answer these questions in any
specified manner?
3) Have you withheld information about; or, only recently become
aware of, any medical problems which could cause a whipping to
pose a risk to your health or your life?
4) Do you understand that if you proceed with this, you will be
securely strapped onto this metal frame and ___ number of very
painful lashes will be inflicted on your bare back?
5) Do you understand that you may choose to terminate this at
this time; or, at any time prior to being secured to the frame;
however, once you are strapped onto that frame, the only thing
which will result in your being released from it prior to the
whipping having been completed would be a legitimate medical
problem?
6) Do you give your consent to proceed?
. Please answer each of these questions audibly enough for
your replies to be picked up on the tape, the only way that you
will ever be identified by it is if it becomes necessary to use
it for a legal defense. Other than that, your identity will be
protected...
. Once you give your consent to proceed, (if there's any reason
use handcuffs) either I'll handcuff you; or, I'll hand you a set
of handcuffs and it will be your responsibility to put them onto
yourself. Don't underestimate the emotional difficulty of doing
this and be ready to do it. This will feel very much like the
"point of no return" and, emotionally, it is... You can still
"back out" at this point; but, it will be important for you to
remember that if you do turn back after going this far, you will
probably find yourself in worse shape than you were in before you
contacted me.
. Next, a wide nylon wrist restraint will be put on, just below
the hand-cuffs. I'll do a couple of checks to make sure that
it's not so tight as to restrict your circulation; then, walk the
remaining few steps over to the frame, place your feet on the
metal cross piece, and lean forward against the chest pad.
The strap connected to the wrist restraint will be fastened into
the mating end (attached to the top bar) with a quick release
buckle and a grab bar will be inserted for you to grab hold of.
Your legs will be secured to the lower angles of the frame, just
above your ankles, with strong velcro straps. Another restraint
strap fits just above your hips and fastens to the front of the
frame with velcro, to limit your ability to twist or pull backward,
since doing so increases the possibility of you pulling a muscle,
if you're able to struggle too much... The upper strap will then
be tightened to a point where your elbows are approximately
even with your eyes. You will not be able to reach the release,
once these things have occurred... I realize that you probably
feel as though you have a concrete block in your stomach even
reading this; but, if it were too easy, it wouldn't accomplish
its purpose... Once you are strapped onto the frame, you HAVE
reached a "point of no return" and the only thing which will
stop the punishment from being completed, at that point, is a
legitimate medical problem. If there's a valid reason for pausing
a few minutes, that will be done; but, don't abuse that consideration!
If it DOES appear that you're abusing it, you'll get one warning;
after that, any such "breaks" will "cost" you one extra lash.)
. (NOTE: Before you even ask -- NO! The use of this specially
built restraint equipment is NOT negotiable. It is as much for
your protection as it is mone; and, I don't care HOW "tough"
you might think you are, a point will come where you would
not be able to stay in place without it; so, don't even bother
to ask if you can try to just hold onto the bar on your own.)
. Next, your back will be bared, shaved if necessary (and if
that has not already been done), and cleaned with disinfectant.
Then, the sentence will be carried out, with each lash occurring
at 20 (in some cases 30) second intervals. The number will be
called out about a second or two before it's delivered. With
each lash, you're given a specific point (drawn from the work
you've done) to focus your mind upon; and, there will also be
reminders to breathe properly. You'll be watched closely for
any signs of trouble; and, you'll be expected to let me (or,
if I'm using one, my assistant) of any real problems you might
experience, as well.
. The whip used will have been well disinfected and will NOT
have ever been used on anyone else. There is no chance for
disease transmission, because they are used on only one person
before they are destroyed (unless the person chooses to keep it
as a reminder, which people occasionally do...) They are made in
such a way that they cause a lot of pain and welting; but, they
cause little (when any at all) bleeding. Usually, most of the
marks are gone within a few days, with the rest fading gradually
over the next two to five weeks, depending upon: the severity of
the sentence, how well after-care instructions are followed, and
the person's healing rate. I recommend that anyone planning to
do this begin taking a good multiple vitamin, high in C, E, zink,
and magnesium to improve their healing time. Recently, a client
had a record breaking fading time from a rather severe sentence
after having taken Best Choice Stress Formula vitamins. Although
it's too soon to judge what role this vitamin played in the rapid
healing time, I encourage you to seek this vitamin out and try it
(or, one with similar ingredients.) Here is a list of what they
contained: C - 500mg, E - 30IU, Thiamin - 10mg, Riboflavin - 10mg,
Niacin - 100mg, B6 - 5mg, Folate - 400mcg, B12 - 12mcg, Biotin -
45mcg, and Pantothenic Acid - 20mg. They lack Zink and Magnesium;
but, that can be easily remedied by simply adding these seperately.
. After the sentence has been completed, you will receive any
basic first-aid which might be needed (normally all that's needed
is a second disinfection and the application of antibiotic ointment
to the welts and any small skin breakages, since the type of whips
we use are NOT bad about cutting), released from this restraint
device, and allowed to lay down on your stomach. Once your
head clears, if you need to minimize the time the marks will last,
cold packs will be used. It's pretty uncomfortable to have them
on though; so, it's up to you whether you want them applied, or
not. {smile}
. You will be expected to stay in the client area for (approx.)
24 hours. This time is allocated for both observation and for
further discussions. Again, you will have written assignments
to accomplish; these are every bit as important as the earlier
ones were. If your victim came along and wishes to express
his/her forgiveness of you, during this time, provisions will be
made for that to occur; at that point, you have done your part,
and their response is entirely up to them. What baggage to carry
through life is a choice which each person must make for themselves.
Your guilt is YOUR responsibility; their anger is THEIRS!...
. Shortly before it's time for you to leave on the final day,
anything which is being held for you will be returned to you,
we'll jointly reinventory everything, and each of us will resign
the inventory sheets again. Your back will be checked, more
antibiotic ointment will be applied, and you'll be given your
street clothes back. Check out time at the motel in OKC is
12:30. The schedule for that day depends largely upon how
much we have left to finish up and when your flight departs.
If it's a later flight, we generally kill the extra time talking,
going to catch lunch, etc. LOL, I do NOT just dump you
out in front of the airport at 1pm and leave you there. {smile}
If we're at Seminole, I like to leave at least 2 or 3 hours before
your flight, to allow for driving time, check in, not having to
rush, etc.; but, other than that, there isn't any set "check out
time."
. When deemed appropriate, there will have been non-corporal
stipulations or recommendations included within the sentence.
These are elements which we feel you would benifit from; such
as: community service, recovery related activities, restitution,
on-going therapy with a licensed therapist in your area, etc.
Although these aren't "enforcible," they are made in order to
assist you in rebuilding your self-image. If you are truly
committed to feeling better about yourself, you WILL follow
through with these recommendations. Even though the punishment
portion of our work together can act as a king sized bulldozer
in clearing out the emotional baggage which has been haunting
you; there's generally been a lot of "collateral damage" from
the years of self-recrimination. These follow-up recommendations
help you to rebuild yourself.
. I ask that you stay in contact by e-mail and/or phone for a
while after you get home (or, even long-term), since it will have
been a very intense few days for you and it'll take a little while
for you to fully "decompress" from this experience.... Besides,
I tend to take a real interest in the people I work with and like
to hear back from them to find out how they're doing. One of
the major things which keeps me doing this is hearing back from
people about how much better things have become for them
after our work together.
. I understand that just about everyone goes through a phase
where, even though they're serious, "reality sort of sets in" and
even thinking about going through with this scares the living
daylights out of them. Know that this is normal for about 90%
of the people I work with; and, I'm really a lot more worried
about that other 10%, since not going through this on the way
to a sort of pragmatic acceptance is often indicative of them
being very cut off from their emotions, due to depression, ego,
etc.... Anyway, just about everyone has a lot of fears going into
this, including a fear that they won't be able to go through with
it. Walking through those fears is something which I'm good at
helping people to be able to do (in a way that still entitles the
person to have earned credit with themselves for having done
so.) Very good communication throughout this process is
essential, though; even in the earliest stages.
. Feel free to ask any questions which remain; and, PLEASE,
definitely let me know whether (OR NOT) you are still interested
in pursuing this course! I realize that this is a very frightening
step for anyone to contemplate; but, I also realize that you wouldn't
have contacted me in the first place if you had not been fairly hard-
pressed to find a solution. Unless someone tells me that this simply
isn't what they were looking for, I try to check back with them from
time to time. Keeping me informed helps me to know if I need to do
that; or, if it's unwelcomed... Also, even if you don't feel that
you can bring yourself to follow through with this at this time,
bookmark the main page. It's rather common for people to struggle
back and forth with themselves for a while before mustering the
resolve and courage they need in order to see this process through.
Bear in mind, however, that stalling only makes things more difficult.
A good analogy I've found is one of paying interest on a debt -- with
the interest piling up higher the longer you try to put it off. In
this case, the interest is emotional, rather than financial; but, for
most people, emotional interest is an even higher price to pay for a
delay... Why drag things out when you can, instead, get all of this
behind you and be using that time and energy FAR more constructively?
