( )  PRIME ENGINE– prime as needed

( )  POWER STICK TO IDLE-set throttle to idle

( )  LOCK BRAKE-if equipped

( )  CLEAR PROP– yell “clear prop” clear- chute, lines, no people

( )  MASTER SWITCHES ON– set master switch to on

( )  START ENGINE-turn key or pull rope - add primer as needed

( )  SEAT BELTS-tight, can reach master switches

( )  INSTRUMENTS-on, set altimeter, GPS, radio

( )  MAG. CHECK– runs smooth with one off

( )  WARM ENGINE-to 140 water temp @ 3000 rpm

( )  CK WINDS - 15 mph max, no X wind or gusts

( )  CK TRAFFIC- Do you have enough runway?

( )  RELEASE BRAKE To start takeoff roll

( )  CK CHUTE INFLATION- "LOC" Lines clear, Open cells, Centered

AFTER LANDING CHECK LIST

( )   IGNITION OFF-switches off

( )  PULL STEERING LINES IN-deflate chute as you roll to stop

( )  BAG CHUTE - secure to frame or seat, don’t flip bag

( )  AVIONICS OFF- instruments, intercom, radio, GPS, key - turn off

( )  LOG FLIGHT TIME
