Process
Electroforming process was developed from electroplating
and any material that can be deposited electrochemically could be electroformed.
As in electroplating metal ions are transferred from the positive anode
to the cathode. In the case of electroforming the metal shell is removed
from the cathode (mandrel usually of aluminum, stainless steel or glass).

Used in applications requiring:-
Good surface finish.
Tight tolerances.
Intricate detail.
