"Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ." Acts 2vs36

Jesus does not save! What do you mean, Jesus does not save? All my life I have been told that Jesus saves! We see it on bill boards, bumper stickers, story books, tee-shirts. We sing it in the hymnal every Sunday " Jesus saves". "We have heard the joyful sound - Jesus saves, Jesus saves ; Spread the tidings all around - Jesus saves, Jesus saves".

Yes! but you haven't see it in the word of GOD. Jesus does not save. It is THE LORD JESUS CHRIST that saves! This blessed truth was called to my attention by Mr. Henry Mahan as he recalled being corrected himself on this crucial point of confession by Ralph Barnard.

When you search the scriptures what you find is the name Jesus constantly referred to in the gospel of Matthew Mark Luke and John. But from the book of Acts forward, our Savior is always referred to by his apostles as the LORD, Christ, Jesus Christ, or THE LORD Jesus Christ, with respect to his saving office NEVER, NEVER just Jesus!

Acts16vs31 "And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." Acts 4vs10 "Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole."

Acts 10vs36 "The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)"

Every epistle opens and closes with the full Majesty of His authority as LORD and SAVIOR. The apostles would not dare dishonor him in whom all the fullness of Godhead dwells, by merely addressing him as Jesus. This is why I have been so uneasy all my saved life with people calling the Master - Jesus. This is disrespectful! No human authority would be addressed that way! Kings, governors, Great people! YOUR PARENTS!

No! The one that wrought eternal redemption for us in the bowels of infinite suffering and fully satisfied the justice of GOD, having obtained the crown rights to this universe, to whom all must come for LIFE, is THE LORD JESUS CHRIST! Acts 4vs12 "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none3 other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."
