So you want to be a ROG helper, eh?
Hmm. Well, you're nuts.
But I'll be glad of the help.
Alright, and now how to become a helper:
1. You send me a e-mail at gizmo42@flash.net indicating your desire to be a webring helper.
2. I say "Yay!!" and make sure you've read the lists on this page.
3. When I found out you have, I put your e-mail address on the ROG Helpers section of the ROG page, the helpers' ROG mail (so you can know when a site has been submitted) and send you the helper password.
The duties of a helper are as follows:
1. Check the queue when appropriate, such as when a site is newly listed.
2. Add sites to the ring that have the *CORRECT* html fragment. This means checking tto see if the ID number is correct, if the rest of the html is correct, and if the images are correct.
3. Occationaly surf part of the ring and warn sites that have incorrect html (two warnings, then remove), and remove sites that no longer are valid.
4. Respond to questions directed toward you about the ROG. If you can't answer a question, forward it to me.
That's about it! There are other things you *can* do as a ROG helper, such as generate e-mail lists to e-msil all the ring members (well, almost. There are several invalid e-mail addresses on the ring, unfortunetly.) But that just about covers it.
