The prison issue is a critical one for our country. Our only solution to-date is to build more prisons. Yet we cannot seem to build prisons fast enough. Not only that, but nearly 60% of those inmates released find their way back into prison within three years after their release. The cost to taxpayers and society in general is high in terms of dollars, property, and human life.
Reconciled Ministries is on the cutting edge of prison and drug work. We work with prisoners to see them not just rehabilitated, but transformed through the changing power of Christ and His gospel. The purpose of our work is not to just go in and "talk at" the inmates. We don't want to have an inmate audience watch what we do. We train and teach them to be responsible before they ever leave prison, so they can be responsible after they leave. If they do not learn that there, their chances of learning it on the outside are slim. It's our belief that men and women don't need to get free from jail until they get free from the things that have gotten them into jail. The only way they can get free, is to make a radical, total commitment to Jesus Christ and the principles for living found in the Bible.

All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of recon ciliation. that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 2 Corinthians 5:18- 19
