1991 Gibson Les Paul "Light" in Gold

Materials:

Original Les Paul Gold powder applied as described on the Les Paul Gold page.

Mcfadden's nitrocellulose lacquer for clear coat.

The Les Paul Light model has a light weight core inserted into the routed out mahogany body before the maple top is applied. It appears to be a Les Paul standard but weighs about one third less. This guitar began life as a cherry red instrument with no body binding. After a single ply white binding was installed to mimic the '52 model, the body and neck were finished in vintage mahogany and the top in gold.
