Finished by Mark Ramsburg, these two beauties show the color most associated with the Strat and Tele as they appeared about from 1954 until the early sixties. Here is Mark's description of the pair;
Your Vintage Blond is one of my favorite finishes. I'm a tele player, so IThanks Mark. They really look nice. You should be proud of your work. The evenness of the color and the percentage of grain that the color reveals looks right on to my eyes. Thanks for the pic.
had to have a tele done in this classic color. Both guitars have just one
light coat of Vintage Blond. Just enough to establish the color, but keep
the grain very visible. Only several coats of clear were applied over the
blond as I wanted to keep the finish very thin. The strat is what I like to
think of as a strat for tele players. In addition to the Blond/Black
pickguard tele combination, it has a hardtail bridge, One vol and one tone,
with Vintique heavy knurled knobs. The strat body is one piece swamp ash
which weighted in at just 2 pounds, 13 oz before finishing. VERY comfortable
to play. The tele is also swamp ash with a AAA birds eye maple neck. The
strat has a lightly figured maple neck. Both necks have Schaller locking
tuners, Earvana compensated nut. Both guitars have all Barden pickups. The
tele has a middle strat pickup, Vintique bridge, and Vintique control plate.
Both guitars play and sound as good as they look. I'm very happy with the
way things turned out.Mark Ramsburg
