Finished by  the ReRanch these Les Paul Jr.s were finished to replicate the TV finishes of the fifties and sixties. Although the yellow lacquer finish is opaque the grain of the mahogany shows through. Complete application instructions are given on the TV Yellow page but here is the quick explanation; The body was stripped and the grain cleaned of filler and sawdust. The body was sprayed with the TV Yellow lacquer. When dry the grain was then filled with a mahogany grain filler. After cleaning the excess grain filler off with mineral spirits the body was then sprayed again with TV Yellow to soften the grain color. When correct the body was clear coated and polished.
