Our Sanctuary
In Him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in
the Lord.
Ephesians 2:21
About the sanctuary
For the last several years, our congregation had the happy problem of having grown large enough to be constrained by our current facilities. After much discussion and consideration of various options, members voted in May of 1998 to pursue construction of a new sanctuary just north of the original church building. Groundbreaking occurred on March 5, 2000. Due to various delays, the project took longer than originally anticipated. But through perseverance and patience, the building was completed. The new sanctuary was dedicated in a special service on June 2, 2002.
The new sanctuary has a capacity of over 300 people on the main level, and it also has a balcony that houses the organ and serves as a choir loft. The construction project included the addition of new office space. A building was erected to connect the new and old sanctuaries, and it contains offices for the pastor, staff minister, and church secretary. It also houses a conference room and storage space. The old sanctuary is now used as a multi-purpose room for fellowship, meals, and school functions.
