Living Word Lutheran Church - Marble Falls, TX

History

Holy Word Lutheran Church in Austin has served as the home church for individuals and families in the Marble Falls area and surrounding communities for many years. Vicar Nathan Buege, who served Holy Word from August 2000 to August 2001, led the outreach effort during that time by meeting many area residents and teaching weekly Bible classes in Marble Falls. In January 2002, Holy Word resolved that church services would be conducted on-site in Marble Falls. This is Holy Word's third satellite church in the past 10 years. The Marble Falls group chose the name Living Word Lutheran Church. Staff Minister Bob Hill is leading the mission efforts in Marble Falls.

The opportunity to open a satellite church in the Marble Falls area arose not only because of the families who had been attending services in Austin, but also because of the many residents in Marble Falls who do not have a home church and those who have recently moved into this growing community.

Sunday morning church service and Bible study

Since January 2001, we have been holding weekly church services in Marble Falls. Church services are held every Sunday morning at 10:30 am, preceded by a Bible study class at 9:30 am. We meet in the meeting room at Best Western Marble Falls Inn, located on US Highway 281. A map and additional directions is available.
