Enrollment Policy
Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.
Proverbs 22:6
All parents wishing to enroll their children in Holy Word Lutheran School must agree to the purpose for which the school is established and to the conditions set forth in the school handbook. Children of Holy Word Lutheran Church and sister WELS congregations are given priority. Children of non-members will be accepted as space permits and provided that the parents be willing to abide by the following:
- Attend a fifteen-lesson Bible Information Class during the first year of their child's enrollment
- Allow their children to participate in all religious instruction
- Attend church regularly, with children attending Holy Word to sing in the worship services with their class or school choir
- Participate actively in the activities of the school
- Give regular monthly financial support for the education of their children
Applications are accepted from January 1 until July 15 for the first semester and from July 16 until October 31 for the second semester.
All applicants will be screened by the pastor, principal, and teachers at Holy Word. Academic, disciplinary, and health records must be received before an application will be acted upon. All applications will be subject to approval by the pastor, the principal, the classroom teacher(s), and the Board of Education.
