About Vicar Mark Tiefel

Vicar Tiefel joins our church staff as part of our synod's worker training system.

 He is currently a student at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary , but has been assigned to Holy Word for his vicar year. This is a year of practical studies which take place under the supervision of Pastor Patterson and under the care of our congregation.

 Mark has lived in Mequon, Wisconsin since 1985. After attending Luther Preparatory School, he graduated from Martin Luther College in May of 2005. In August 2008, Mark will return to Mequon, where he will be heading up a special restoration project for the WELS Archives. He plans to resume his final year at WLS in August of 2009.

Mark is engaged to Kate Wolfe, of East Lansing, Michigan. They both share a love for music and worship. They plan to be married this coming August.
