HUNTINGTON VENTURE PARK

April 15, 2003

For years, the Huntington Venture Park has been allowed to deteriorate.  Although the HVCA Board of Directors claim reserves to be 100% funded, the Huntington Venture Park, Pool, & Tennis Courts have been neglected.  

Neighbors have witnessed gangs of youth congregating in the Park at all hours of the day or night playing loud music, drinking alcoholic beverages, and even having sex on the park picnic tables.  

Vandalism has gone unchecked.  However, recently Huntington Village neighbors have banned together to turn the tide by trimming trees, picking up trash in the Park, and calling on the HVCA Board to maintain our assets.

1)      Contact Council Member Mark Ellis at (713) 247-2002 and HPD Captain R.W. Bownds at (281) 584-4711 .  Ask them to step up the HPD patrols at the Huntington Venture Park,  12518 Huntington Venture
