This section will be the most important subject on this website, and will also be the longest. It has taken several years to document the cases and situations you will be presented with here and even longer before we came to the conclusions that will be offered for your review.

The HVCA Board of Directors control over $250,000 of your money in HVCA reserves in addition to administering an annual budget of over $225,000. This equates to real power that needs equally real oversight. Unfortunately, our existing board is one that does not appear to appreciate mere questions let alone serious oversight. There exists a serious ongoing problem with secrecy and the ability of property owners to freely inspect o
r merely view our Association's Books and Records, even though this freedom of inspection for all property owners is clearly demanded and outlined in our governing documents. Harsh reality demonstrates that if you ask questions, you can expect retaliation. If you choose to blindly cheer every action without question, congratulations! You will have passed the test and may well expect to be asked to be "appointed" to the board with the very next Director Vacancy. If you question certain actions or ask the wrong questions history demonstrates that you will have failed the test and may even expect a letter from their lawyer. If you continue.... well..

More on this topic... It gets worse...
The bottom line is simple:
- The Board of Directors are REQUIRED by Texas Law and our Governing Documents to operate within the confines of our
Deed Restrictions and Bylaws (their job descriptions).
- The Board of Directors CANNOT amend and/or modify (contrary to what some would like you to believe) OUR Governing Documents at their whim. Those rights belong ONLY to you and REQUIRE a 75% Majority Paper Ballot Recorded Vote of The Property Owners to Modify our Deed Restrictions or Bylaws.
- Our
governing documents are precise and clearly outline the limits of the Board's Authority. These limits are a designed protection for your family and precisely why they were included in the original drafts of our bylaws and deed restrictions.
- Their is no workable mechanism short of expensive court litigation to force a Board of Directors to operate within our governing documents if they choose to ignore them. This creates a needless and expensive string of abuses when a board chooses to abuse their authority using our money defending indefensible actions. This abuse of our governing system must stop.
We have discovered serious irregularities in the Association
records and the public records about Huntington Village Community Association that should not be happening, but they are and you need to know about them before you or your family becomes it's next victim. We have discovered liens filed against residents who had paid their assessments in full and on time, threats of foreclosures, residents who were forced to make years of installment payments to the lawyer, and much more. You will be presented with "case studies" that those in power
would prefer you not see. There are those of helpless and nearly defenseless property owners who have been financially attacked and literally forced from our community due to the heavy handed tactics of a very few power hungry junkies. There is simply no excuse for some of the heavy handed tactics from those who have accepted the fiduciary responsibility to simply oversee our assets. You are about to be made aware of tactics and policies that need to stop
This will be merely a sampling of what has been going on...
NOTICES OF FORECLOSURE
What if out of a clear blue sky you received a letter from a lawyer placing a lien on your property for some unknown violation you did not commit? This has happened to more than one Huntington Village resident.
