How do we Fix the Problems?

HV Foundations Can Be Repaired

Yes. There are many things that need repairing here and there needs to be a way for residents to get and exchange information. We have open court cases that the Board hides from the community and they need to be settled. They could all be settled in one day. Stop giving our money away to a collection lawyer. It is time to end the secrecy, to stop the bullying and make Huntington Village a better place to live. The primary short term goal of this website is to bring all of the inappropriate activities that are happening into the light of day and exterminate them (There are many). When the association takes action against any of you, whether it is a warning letter or threat of a lawsuit, the association's dirty work is done in secret and without the knowledge of  the general community. The Board has recently decided, in direct violation of our recorded deed restrictions, that our books and records are no longer freely available to our residents (review Section 35  for yourself). This simply means that no one knows what dealings are ongoing, but a select few.  Everyone keeps smiling.  You are pretty much alone against a Board of Uncaring directors and their Lawyer using your own money against you. No wonder people bail out. It's time for a positive change.

In the long term, Huntington Village Online could be a great marketing tool for us all. We could have (to name just a few) available online:

There are only a few residents contributing to this site (on a part-time basis) with the goal of  identifying and correcting the problems we face. That same effort and more could easily be put into something much more productive and valuable to the community, once we repair the problems. We are willing to work with the Board to use this website for extremely positive and creative uses.

Please take the time and look over Huntington Village Online. There are many documents here with more on the way, from court cases to financial information to minutes of board meetings. Much of it is agreeably not pleasant or pretty, and that is precisely why we need to get it out in the open, change things and put an end to the secrecy and bullying. If you remain silent and do not speak up, your thundering silence will give implicit approval to the status quo and some very questionable and un-neighborly activities.

When the problems are corrected, we can remove the information about the bullying tactics as we will have repaired that problem, too.

A NOTE ABOUT THIS SITE :

The documents here are from association records and public information from the Harris County Courthouse. Some Board members will not like nor appreciate the exposure of the bullying tactics, and hopefully the ones who were not aware they were going on will work to help make sure things change. The message here is not anti-Board. The message here IS about removing the root causes of the conflict that have been ongoing for many years and has created unnecessary divisions within our community. The Board's lawyer will not like having the heavy handed tactics exposed.  Too bad.  It's our neighborhood.

Please take a moment after you have looked over this site and email your ideas and concerns. Let's repair the problems and move ahead.
