Starting Home School

well as audio and video versions. This material was recorded at Margie Downey's seminar at the 2000 Texas Mothers of Multiples state convention in Lubbock, TX. Moving from School to Home School

Home School Legal Defense Association knows the laws in each state regarding parents' rights to teach their children and can counsel you on the wisest method in your state for beginning to teach home school. Some places are home school heaven, but others really do take careful structuring of the new school set-up. Each state has at least one state group which provides legal counsel; HSLDA has a current list of those groups. HSLDA also defends in court those parents who are called upon to defend their right to teach at home.
