Knowing God Personally

How to know God personally:

John 3: 16

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him might not perish, but have everlasting life."

Romans 3: 23

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

Romans 5: 8

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Matthew 17: 22-23

"The Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men, and they will kill Him, and the third day He will be raised up."

John 14: 6

(Jesus speaking) "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no man cometh unto the Father except by Me."

You can pray right now:

"Thank you, God, for loving me, sending Your Son, Jesus, to die for me and take my punishment for my sin, for raising Jesus from the dead and winning over death and the grave. Thank you for preparing a place for me in heaven forever. I receive what He has done for me like I would receive a birthday present- wrapped and with my name on it, but waiting for me to claim it and open it. I know now I have been made right with my Creator. I want my children to grow up healthy. God, you want me, your child, to grow healthy as I live in the grace and power of the Holy Spirit, who lives within me now. Help me grow by reading the Bible, praying about everything, sharing what Jesus has done for me with others, and worshipping God and having fellowship with other believers. You, God, are the One who saves us, and then continues working in us to make us like Yourself. Thank you, Lord. Amen."

We could not save ourselves; likewise, we cannot improve ourselves after salvation apart from His grace at work in our lives.
