Hydro Bushing Removal
The hydro bushings are the bushing in the rear position of the front control arms. No heat is required for removing the hydrobushings from the front control arms. With a chistle, remove the bushing insert from the shell. The shell is pressed into the control arm and the bushing insert is pressed into the shell.

With a hacksaw, cut a slot (as shown) in the shell. Once the slot is cut, use a c-clamp to crush the shell. Crushing the shell releases the shell from the control arm.

The hacksaw blade must be passed through the shell and then attached to the hacksaw frame. Also, the teeth of the blade face toward the hacksaw frame rather than away from it.

The new shell can be taped in with a hammer. It takes a little patience, but with one hit, the new shell pops right in.
