| StopTech Big Brake kits are application-specific designed to provide optimized front-to-rear brake balance and to maintain proper ABS performance.
StopTech's calipers and rotor assemblies incorporate a number of design features that enhance braking performance. One such design feature is vaned stand-offs on the billet hat of each rotor assembly (shown below), which direct air over the front face
of the rotor to enhance cooling of the rotor and caliper. Another such design feature is a bolt-in caliper bridge (shown below), which contributes to providing a caliper that is as much as twice as stiff as competitive offerings. The brake kit is a direct bolt-in. Installation time is about 2 hours. Once the brake pads are properly and completely bedded-in, I'll report back with details on how well these big guys haul the car down and resist fading as well as the degree of modulation that they offer. |
