A group of volunteers in the community of Bell Chasse, Louisiana are working on a project to honor all of the Medal of Honor recipients throughout the world. Their address is:
Medal of Honor Park
P.O. Box 508
Belle Chasse LA 70037

The park will honor all 3410 recipients of the Medal of Honor from throughout the world and will be located on 30 acres of land adjacent to NAS-JRB Belle Chasse, LA. (New Orleans)

Plaquemines Parish, proud to be the "future" home of Louisiana's Medal of Honor Park & Museum.
Here are the current plans for the park as of February 20 1998:
A large monument with all 3410 names of the recipients will be the main focus of the park.

A special area and another monument will be constructed to honor the 31 recipients from Louisiana. The area will also feature 31 trees from a program called "American Forests" famous & historical trees. A special tree will be planted and dedicated
to a specific recipient.
The group is also seeking any available pictures of the 31 recipients from Louisiana. Any ideas on how to obtain these will be appreciated.
The group now has their State Charter, making it officially "Louisiana's Medal of Honor Park & Museum" and has formed an organization called "Friends of Louisiana's Medal of Honor Park". We also have received our 501-C, and the IRS has qualified us
as a tax deductible organization.
The second annual membership drive will be held on the first Monday of June 1998.
Information on becoming a charter member before this annual drive can be obtained by printing, filling out, and mailing this Membership Form. Your donation is tax deductible. To return to this
page after printing the form, just click - Back - on your browser. Thank you for your donation in any amount.
We are preparing our mailing lists to solicit funds from any and all groups, organizations and companies throughout the country. If you have any ideas for us, please call, write or e-mail us and let us know.
Along with the park, long range plans call for a military museum, a theater that can be used for seminars, work shops, and other educational purposes.
Further plans call for replicas of monuments that have been named as the official monument of conflicts such as IWO JIMA MONUMENT, KOREAN MONUMENT< etc.
The park will be one of a kind and plans call for ground breaking in 1999!
If you are interested in participating in this project, your donation would be greatly appreciated to help make this park a success and a beautiful memorial for our honored veterans.
Again, you can contact or e-mail the community group at the above address about the Charter Membership Drive and how to become "A FRIEND OF LOUISIANA'S MEDAL OF HONOR PARK" today!

Randy Lee Everette, a Personnelman presently serving in the U.S. Navy and stationed in Norfolk Virginia, has researched and put together, in memory of his father Joseph Lee Everette, a very creative and informative page for Medal of Honor Recipients by War and Service. Thank you Randy for sharing your research and hard work.
Visit the National Medal of Honor Museum of Military History here, and in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Here on The Vietnam Veteran's Memorial War Page is a place you can fine a friend or a loved one killed in that war. I was moved by the dedication and caring that went into this memorial to honor those who gave their
lives for our country.
