Works of fiction: WALKING HAWK, a Double D Western hardback, was released by Doubleday in November, 1989. HAWK sold out the month it was published, was a finalist for the Spur Award from the Western Writers of America for best western novel of 1989, and was a finalist for the Medicine Pipe Bearer's Award from the Western Writers of America for best first novel of that year. The first books of the Baynes Clan Trilogy were introduced in hardback by Doubleday with MONTANA HORSEMAN released in 1990, TEXAS COMEBACKER in 1991, and WYOMING GIANT in 1992. Berkley purchased the paperback rights to these works and contracted the author to write three original paperback novels to extend the adventures of the Baynes family to six books. CALIFORNIA EAGLES, NEVADA TOUGH, and KANSAS GAMBLER have since been published by Berkley. |
