Carpet Care And Spotting Tips

CARPET CARE:
1) Vacuum regularly with a good upright vacuum with a brush and beater bar.  Vacuum several times a week in doorways and at least once a week or more in traffic areas.  Gritty particles of soil hiding in your carpet can cause fiber damage.

2) Use wipe-off mats at outside entrances.  Throw rugs are also helpful in areas where carpet meets a hard surface.

3) Rearrange furniture occasionally to spread wear more evenly over your carpet.

4) Treat spills, spots, and stains IMMEDIATELY.

5) Have carpet dry cleaned on a regular basis.  Waiting too long can be costly by allowing irreversible fiber damage to occur.  Dry Extraction Carpet Cleaning will deep clean without getting moisture to the backing

SPOTTING TIPS:
1) Scrape up any solid material with a spoon or dull knife.

2.) Blot moist spots by pressing down with a clean, dry, white towel or paper towel.

3) Continue blotting using dry areas of the towel until there is no further color transfer from the spot.

4) Mist spot with pre-treatment and then pack area with dry extraction SOIL ABSORBERS.  Leave until dry, then vacuum.

5) If spot is still visible, put spot remover on clean white towel, and blot carefully working from the outside toward center of spot.  (Test any product you use on an inconspicuous area and make sure it is approved for use on your type of carpet.)

6) Pack area with dry extraction SOIL ABSORBERS to remove remaining residue.  Leave until dry, then vacuum up.
