We traveled to San Jose Del Cabo/Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, B.C.S. on Friday, October 2, 1998 and stayed at an all inclusive hotel, the El Presidente.
This was the view from our hotel room.

San Jose Del Cabo is closest to the airport and the hotel El Presidente. This
quaint little city is the less developed and less commercial of the two cities. This
picture is of the primary street with many tourist shops of silver and artifacts, and
several nice restaurants (see Photo below)

Cabo San Lucas on the other hand is more developed for tourists and more
commercialized. There are many shops, restaurants and other tourist attractions,
including Planet Hollywood, Hard Rock Cafe, Senior Frogs, Shrimp Factory and other similar
attractions. The pictures below show the port of Cabo San Lucas and some of the
beautiful rock outcroppings at land's end, where the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean
meet. The middle picture showing a beach is the famous Lover's Beach. The
time-share we purchased and described below is around the corner from land's end on the
Pacific Ocean side.

We visited a new time-share development called, Playa Grande and fell in love with the
place. Needless to say, we purchased a one week share of a one bedroom, two bath condo
that sleeps five, right on the beach. Our unit is on the third floor and faces the
water. The blue Pacific is less than 100 feet from our door. Playa Grande is
in pre-construction with first occupancy beginning in January, 1999. Our week is the
third week of October.

Of course no trip to an ocean is complete for the Woodards without checking out the
surfing and visiting a Surf Shop. This trip is no different and the pictures below
show our visit to Costa Azul Surf Shop and several of the popular surfing areas along the
road between San Jose Del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. The three surfing areas shown
are, Zippers, Old Mans and the Point.
