Kaulana Na Pua

The Best in Hawaiian Hula & Music

Kaulana Na PuaBest in Hawaiian Hula & Music, is an annual series, sponsored by Ke Po`okela Cultural Foundation.

Consisting of two separate events, a Workshop/Seminar and a Concert performance, it is designed to promote the Hawaiian culture. The workshops and seminars are led by Hawai`i's esteemed educators and cultural specialists. The Concert Performance features Hawai`i's finest accomplished musicians, sharing the stage with the best hula artistry from various Hula Halau in California.

Kaulana Na Pua serves as a cultural enrichment experience that promotes and cultivates the discovery and resurgence of the Hawaiian culture, through the utilization of cultural workshops and concert performances that serve as mediums of education, communication and entertainment. It is a community event that allows the Hawaiians to share the true richness of their traditions and art to as broad an audience as possible. It is also a social event that brings the community together in the spirit of aloha (love) and lokahi (harmony). Revenues raised will be used to establish a College Scholarship Trust Fund and to fund the future annual Workshops/Seminars and Concert Performances of Kaulana Na Pua, the Best in Hawaiian Hula & Music.
