Duncanville Noon Lions Club

Duncanville Lions Club Message Board

Are You involved in a service Club- giving back to the community?

You may have heard that Helen Keller charged Lions to become "Knights for the Blind" and that was just one challenge to identify and address needs for others!

Do you want to become part of the world's largest service organizations?

It all starts with a club visitation.  I, Joe Kyle will be glad to have you as my guest for the 1st visit (free lunch).  Cost of lunch is usually $12.00.  We meet for lunch every Friday at 11:45 A.M. at Hilton Garden Inn, Corner of I-20 and and Main Street in Duncanville. MAP  Visitors are Always Welcome! Don't miss our next meeting also known as:

Stress Relief Fridays.

Lunch is Included with club membership. For more invormation contact Joe Kyle

Duncanville Noon Lions Club was established on August 2, 1971. The 50 year old Duncanville Host Lions Club merged with the 25 year old Duncanville Noon Lions Club in 1996.  Charter Members still active with our Club include:

 G.W. Gorman  & Tommy Wolverton

We have over  100 members and are always looking to grow.  The more active members we have the better we can serve our community.  Our Club motto is:

       "WE SERVE BETTER TOGETHER"

For those wishing to know more about membership or just to visit our club please e-mail or just come to a meeting and let us know you found our Web page.

TEXAS LIONISM - Texas is truly the birthplace of Lionism. Lions International came into official being in Dallas, Texas at the first convention in October, 1917.    This convention was held at the Adolphus Hotel in Dallas  and the name  "Lion"  was accepted as the name of our organization.    Texas, from the inception of Lions International, has always occupied a prominent place in the affairs of Lions International. This dedication to leadership and innovation continues today.

With over 1.4 million members serving in more than 46,000 clubs in over 200 countries and geographical areas, Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization. Texas has over 32,400 members serving in more than 960 clubs supporting Lions International and The Duncanville Lions is one of the largest and most active in Texas.

WILL YOU BE AN ACTIVE MEMBER
THE KIND THAT WOULD BE MISSED?
OR ARE YOU JUST CONTENTED
THAT YOUR NAME IS ON THE LIST?

WILL YOU ATTEND THE MEETINGS
AND MINGLE WITH THE FLOCK?
OR WILL YOU STAY AT HOME
AND CRITICIZE AND KNOCK?

WILL YOU EVER GO TO VISIT
A MEMBER WHO IS SICK?
OR LEAVE THE WORK TO JUST A FEW
AND THEN TALK ABOUT A CLIQUE?

THERE ARE WEEKLY PROGRAMS SCHEDULED
THAT I AM SURE YOU'VE HEARD ABOUT
AND WE WOULD ALL APPRECIATE IT
IF YOU WOULD COME AND HELP US OUT

SO COME TO THE MEETINGS OFTEN
AND HELP WITH HAND AND HEART
DON'T BE JUST A MEMBER
DIG IN AND DO YOUR PART

THINK THIS OVER MEMBER
YOU KNOW WHAT'S RIGHT FROM WRONG
WILL YOU BE AN ACTIVE MEMBER,
OR WILL YOU JUST BELONG
