Activities
We have designed our activities for both
children and adults. We firmly believe
that this Christmas experience is one
that you will all remember and cherish.
It is with this in mind that we originally
decided upon this type of business enterprise.

| Hayrides. Originally
designed for the children on week days, we have found
that the adults, on weekends, enjoy the ride as much as
the children. We have found that many families
come back for a second ride after they have
purchased their tree. |
Feeding the ducks and
geese
The children enjoy feeding the ducks and
geese, and on our pre-K, K, and lower grades
tours, the children bring bread or corn
to feed them. The fun is enhanced by our
beautiful pond surrounded by tall, majestic
pine trees. |

The forest.
As we are located in the middle of the Lost
Pines, people enjoy gathering pine cones,
and cutting yaupon holly for decorations.
The clean pine smell is wonderful to enjoy.

The fields
Our two large fields contain over 11,000
Christmas trees. We try our best to make
them beautiful by having beautifully manicured
trees, and also a lawn-like appearance of
the hills and swales that go to make up
Loma Alta. |

Snack bar
My granddaughter is in charge of the snack
bar which is open on weekends. In addition to hot and cold drinks,
she will have the famous Elgin sausage
and frito pies. Everything tastes so good
after a walk in the trees.
Weekday visits
by daycare providers, and over a thousand
elementary school children from Central
Texas, are one of our busiest times. The
children all get hayrides and the story
of how we plant and grow our Virginia
pines. After the hayrides, they go to

Picnic area
to eat lunch. Of course, these picnic areas
near our ponds are available to families
on weekends. Bring your own picnic lunch
and enjoy the peace and solitude of the
Lost Pines area. |

Photo Opportunity
Hundreds of pictures are taken yearly when
children are placed in our sled. The background
of Santa, Mrs. Clause, a decorated Christmas
tree, and elves, make a photo that is just
right for Christmas cards. |
