CITY OF ALBUQUERQUE, NM, Water and Wastewater control. -
Design and Construction Services for new control system featuring
microwave links to remote wells, storage tanks, and unmanned handling
stations. The system included a central control station with graphics,
and numerous remote embedded microprocessor based controls.
Consideration was given to handling for fire reserve storage and water
hammer prevention.
FORT BLISS, TX Water and Fire Control System
Similar to the Albuquerque system but much more diverse.
Communications included a mix of high speed microwave (splinter
frequency) and low speed land line between computers scattered over
an area 30 miles wide and 100 miles long.
1979--1983 ARIZONA PUBLIC SERVICE COMPANY, Fruitland, NM
Electrical Engineer - PE
Multi-year project updating controls at the Four Corners Power Plant.
The Project involved replacing old pneumatic controls and an obsolete
computer with a modern distributed computer system (Westinghouse). Also
included work on new pollution control and air quality monitoring
systems.
