I don't really have much to say. The Lone Gunmen was my (this is
Andrew typing) favorite show, and I'm not to happy about it being
cancelled. I really don't know why it was. Everyone seems to think
it was a great show, but I guess the fact that the pilot wasn't
nearly as good or funny as the rest of the episodes (although I
did enjoy) turned lots of people off from the show, thus dooming
it from the start. Oh well.
The main characters were Frohike (played by Tom Braidwood, former
co-director of the X-Files, I think he'll return to that job now
that LG has been cancelled), Langley (played by comedian Dean Haglund),
and Byers (played by Bruce Harwood). They were the creators of a
small conspiracy magazine, and were occasionally on episodes of
the X-Files here and there.
The cancellation of the Lone Gunmen was also a major factor in
this site being created. When the show was cancelled, I decided
I'd make a website as a tribute to them. I talked to Matt about
it one day (he used to have his own personal conspiracy site), and
out came the Lone Conspirators (guess where we got the title from:)
). I was hoping to give the site a sort of a newspaper look, since
the Lone Gunmen had a newspaper/newsletter of the same name, and
even this site's title graphic was inspired by the Lone Gunmen.
Maybe if we complain to Fox
enough, the show will return someday. We can only hope.
All I have left to say is click
here to visit the official Lone Gunmen website before it's gone.
