Critical State Test Method

...Stop whatever your doing... take a good look around and ask yourself this... ARE YOU DREAMING ? Be serious and really try to answer the question to the best of your ability and be ready to justify your answer.

Now you have an answer ask yourself another question... How often do you ask yourself that?
Chances are high that you never ask yourself that because people are not prone to questioning their environment. If you never ask the question while awake how often do you suppose you ask it when you’re dreaming. The content of your dreams is affected by what we do and say in real waking life. They mirror each other in some ways, this is why things that we worry and think about end up in are dreams. The critical state test is one of the most commonly used methods of lucid dream induction and it works on this principle.

Ask yourself seriously six times a day if you are dreaming, make a habit of it and don't just ask the question and straight away answer "of course I'm awake". If you do that then when this habit gets carried over you'll end up asking off reflex in the same way and still remain unaware.

However if you don't just rehash the same answer and carefully question your surroundings while you are awake, then you’re likely become lucid when your asleep.

There are loads of ways to induce lucid dreaming I've been doing it since I was 14. Using a technique in which the practicing individual holds consciousness as they fall asleep. You can use mechanical means of inducing, such as a nova dreamer a device that flashes at you once you reach REM wave sleep. I also have one of these this will set you back rough 200 dollars. There are also a lot of good books on the market anything by Stephan LaBerge is worth a read. Stay clear of anything that says it can give you a lucid dream for a quick buck because as we English say... that's bollocks. I warn you though that learning anything like this will probably be very alien to you as these things are rarely practiced in the Western world. Most people don't have the time or the will power, are society is normally so immediate it's not till you try and control your thought's that you realize how weak we are.
