Deep Water Reservoirs: California

We will visit the best exposures in North America of all the deep water reservoirs we explore for. Our stops include a submarine canyon, upper-fan channel, a mid-fan channel, sheets, and a composite of these facies as well as the type locality for the non-fan ramp turbidites.  All of these units produce in the adjacent basins, so we will look at the typical trap types. These reservoirs we will see are excellent analogues for the units we explore for in the deep water Gulf of Mexico and offshore west Africa.
