Motorcycle Education of Oklahoma

Beginner

Are you under sixteen years old?

The different requirements:

During a recent converstation with the local Driver License (DL) Examiner a new twist was brought up concerning person trying to get a driver license to drive a motorcycle.  Taking a Motorycle Safety Foundation (MSF) course which would result in a waiver of the riding requirement when applying for an 'M' endorsement does not apply when you are under sixteen years old.  You will still be required to take the driving test.  In addition you will have to wait thirty (30) days to take the driving test.

This twist was brought to my attention by one of the father's of one of my past students, under sixteen years old, on August 25, 2002.

My suggestion is to check with your local DL Examiner to see what the exact requirements for all persons under sixteen years old, at this time.
