This is the initial screen you will receive when you want to place a new person (phone contact) into the system.  The information that is shown in the white areas are the default value.  The present default value for the 'Home Phone:' is (405) 733-3152 so if the person did not give you a home phone number then this is what will be stored in that location.  These default values could be changed to what ever you want your default values to be.  Lets say you want to look at the home phone numbers of all the person that have made contact with you.  The system will sort the phone numbers in ascending or descending order and since you know the default value the other ones must be valid.  All this information is very standard and has a proven track record.  This information is exactly what I have been getting and using during the years of business that we have been in operation.

The different dates are used when someone calls and get mad at me because '...did not send me any information on the up coming classes...'.  Yes, the customer is always right but for your personal satisfaction you can go back and see if that person is just blowing hot air.  You can also see if that person calls every other month.

The reason that I store the e-mail address is to determine if there is a reasonable return on investment for the cost of the site and time invested in the web page.  That is based on the number of students that I get from the web.  This is one of those items that you must use both phone contacts and past students to determine.

As I stated before when you combine the information about the phone contacts with the past students I can determine a great deal of information.

  • What is the time period between the date of contact and the date taking a course
  • Do most people call a week before a course or is average a shorter notice
  • Most people will visit a local motorcycle shop in their general area, with this in mind I will know which is the best for me to get students wanting to take the RSS or the ERC.  The cost of advertisment becomes a major item in any company.

Now if you do not want to do anything and just want to return to the main menu just depress the EXIT to return to the main screen.  If you want to add this phone contact to the system just depress Do It and you will return to the main screen.
