Mr. Philip L. Nichols, Jr.

Founder and Artistic Director Mr. Nichols, is a graduate of the world famous Lon Morris College Theatre Program and University of Houston Theatre school.  Mr. Nichols has grease paint in his blood. In addition to being an award winning film and video director,  and Special Make-up Artist [mentored by  make-up legend Dick Smith], Mr. Nichols is also a  world renown sculptor and studio artist as well. Playhouse Gothique has been a lifelong dream of his since the Lon Morris days: 

To form a company of fellows to create originally  spectacular works of theatre with a bit of a dark twist to them. He bids you welcome!

Associate Artistic Director--Pantomime
Ms. Melissa L. Nichols
Ms.  Nichols, has many years experience as a puppeteer, actress, prop builder, costumer and writer, as well as 20+ years experience in professional theatrical and motion picture industries. Ms. Nichols was a founding member of the Houston Earl Grey Society, and has studied the physical arts of Yoga, Taiji Chu'an and Chayon-Ryu to develop a unique movement style. She brings a unique vision to the Playhouse Gothique Pantomime Troupe.  Blending the mythic with the gothic, the classical with the whimsical, she will create an original and  memorable experience for all who enjoy the wonders of the Pantomime!

Playhouse Gothique President, Mr. Vance Johnson
 Mr. Vance Johnson is the president of both ACE Theatre and Playhouse Gothique. ACE Theatre is the home base of operations for the Playhouse Gothique satellite company.  In addition to taking on a leadership role in the staff, Mr. Johnson is also a member of the core company of players and is a very talented actor.
