LIGHT AND SWEET

A tale of office seduction and reincarnation

by BLACK CHERRY

Some days there just isn’t enough coffee to get her going. The traffic, the heat, the construction...this town could really grate on her last nerve when it had a mind to. But today there was an especially irritating quality hanging in the air, as Elise McBane inched her SUV toward her downtown office building for another day at the grind. The early morning commute always put her in a combative mood, and she growled to herself as someone cut her off when she was about to change lanes.

“Goddammit!” She exclaimed, when she realized she would miss her exit and have to double back again through the string of long waits at slow lights, and busy intersections.

Finally arriving in the garage of the high-rise office building in which she worked, she grabbed her briefcase and keys opting to leave her coat and umbrella in the SUV. It was early October, but you would never know it with the Houston heat still hanging on like it was high summer. She took a final look in the door mirror to check her makeup, but she seemed to look past the beautiful raven haired, and blue eyed visage that stared back at her from the glass, she was oblivious to her own beauty.  She smirked at the sight of the coat and umbrella lying in the backseat, and walked toward the elevator.

“Come on!” Growled the petite blonde woman waiting for the elevator pushing the buttons frantically. “If I am late again, I am in the doghouse!” She muttered within earshot of the tall figure that approached her.

“Here let me,” said the raven-headed woman, smiling at the blonde with her perfect mouth. “There is a trick to it.”

With the touch of her hand, the door opened and the pretty little blonde woman muttered a sigh of relief, “Wow. Thanks, you’re a life savor!” She said as the stepped into the elevator after the older woman.

“Some days, eh?” Said the older woman. She was older, but not by more than six years or so. Very beautiful and elegant, dressed in a navy blue suit, the blonde thought, and tall! Wow, she is tall!

“Some days, what?” Asked the blonde curiously.

“Some days, there just isn’t enough coffee!” Laughed the raven-haired woman, holding her empty star buck's cup.

“Oh yeah!” The blonde laughed. “I’m on 12” she said when the older woman began to reach for the control buttons.

“I know,” she replied, “I’ve seen you around.” Thinking to herself how she had seen this young woman in the hallways on her floor before, and how she never noticed how pretty she was until now. Down girl, she thought to herself, you have enough to deal with today without looking for trouble. But she is cute!

“I have seen you too,” replied the blonde. “My name is Jillian--Jillian Summers.”

“How do you do, I am Elise McBane.” Replied the older woman.

“Oh! Miss McBane, I am sorry! I didn’t recognize you! God, I am so stupid!” Exclaimed Jillian as she realized she worked for this woman. This woman’s name was on all of her paychecks; the same woman who had an office down the hall with heavy wooden doors where men in suits came and went with grave looks on their faces. The same woman she saw coming and going every day, but never noticed how beautiful she was until now.

 But Elise laughed.

She smiled at the younger woman and touched her shoulder with a gentle pat.

“I won’t tell if you won’t---we’re both late today!” She winked, and at that Jillian smiled.

When the doors to the elevator opened to the busy floor, a male voice immediately boomed out, ”Summers! Late again! In my office: NOW!”

The look on Jillian’s face was so darling; she looked like a frightened puppy about to be spanked for pooping on the carpet. I had better come to her rescue, thought Elise, who followed Jillian toward her boss’s office, a few paces behind her. She stood just outside the door in earshot of the ass chewing that Jillian was receiving.

“Why the hell are you late again?” Shouted Don Hampton, her boss and executive director of accounts.

“My car--it wouldn’t start and I had to borrow my mother’s car. Then the traffic was murder--”
“Murder? I’ll give you murder! The boss is up my ass to finish the projections this week, and it’s already Thursday. Every minute you are late is a minute you are not working and it is a minute gone from our deadline.”

“You’re right, Mr. Hampton, and I am sorry.” She replied meekly though she was thinking something completely contrary.

Asshole! Thought Elise from outside the door, getting more and more angry by the tone Hampton was adopting. He was a bully, and she knew that when she hired him, but he was good at his job. Still, she thought, that is no excuse for his tone here and now.

“Yes, Summers you are sorry!” He hissed, “and you are damned close to being out on the curb by the day’s end if those projections are not done. Do you hear me?  No more excuses! Get your ass to work!”

“Now just a minute, Mr. Hampton,” Jillian said, having had enough of his bullying, “I know I was late, and I know I was in the wrong, and I am sorry. But I do my job and I am good at it, and threatening to fire me for being late is way over the top here. I will have those godamned projections finished by lunchtime today! I was up late last night working on them and they are 75% finished. So if there is nothing else? I have work to do.” She said as she looked defiantly at him.

His eyes narrowed and he barked at her, “That’s it! Your smart mouth just cost you your job! Clear out your desk, Summers! You‘re fi--” But before he could finish his sentence, Elise stepped into the room and he swallowed the last of his words. He looked like a scared rabbit now, and Jillian was almost amused until she turned her head to see Elise McBane standing in the doorway with her arms crossed shooting a go to hell look at her boss. Oh shit! She thought to herself, this is it, I am so gone.

“Don,” Elise said, “I can hear you all the way down the hall. What the hell is going on in here?”

“I was addressing Summers here on her tardiness. This is the second time on three weeks. She--”
“She was helping me in the parking garage. The elevator was stuck and we were both late.” She interrupted, “If you want to blame someone, then blame me.” She said, but he broke eye contact with her, and stared at his desk, searching for something to say to save his own ass. Jillian was dumbfounded. Why would her executive boss stick up for her like this? Before today the woman hadn’t known she existed, or had she?

“Don, let’s continue this in my office. Bring Ms. Summer’s file, and bring me some coffee--I’m light and sweet.” She stared him down again, daring him with her piercing blue fire eyes to defy her authority, but he didn’t.

“Yes, Miss McBane.” he said meekly, shooting a pissed off look at Jillian, who was still in in disbelief.

“Miss Summers?” Elise said to Jillian, “Hello--earth to Jillian Summers.” Jillian snapped out of her momentary shock, and nodded to Elise.

“Yes, Miss McBane?” She said in a squeaky voice.

“You come too, and bring those projections with you; we’ll go over them and see where we are, okay?” Then Elise walked out of the office and Jillian and Don Hampton just stared at each other.

“What the hell just happened?” He asked, not sure if he was more pissed or shocked.

Jillian shrugged.

“Well move your lucky ass!” He growled at her, and she was off to her office to get her laptop and files.

In her office, Jillian rubbed her temples then stacked the last of the projection files into her briefcase and closed her laptop down. She couldn’t believe the week she was having. I must be paying back karma from a former life, she thought to herself. She took a drink of water from the bottle on her desk, and wondered why her exec boss was suddenly so interested in her after one encounter. Maybe she likes me; she thought jokingly to herself, then added the disclaimer, yeah, right. It was time for her to face the music, and she hoped to impress Elise with the job she had done so far on the projections, or at the very least get out of getting fired. She knew she would be in the shit can with Hampton over this, and he would be riding her extra hard. Thank God tomorrow is Friday! She thought as she headed toward Elise McBane’s office.

~~~~~~~~
Elise McBane sat in her office absentmindedly doodling on a legal pad. She was thinking about the petite blonde named Jillian Summers. How had she never noticed how pretty and cute and spunky she was before?  But what did it matter?  She needed to see how those projections were going, and she decided against her better judgment to go easy on Summers, even if her work was crap. Oh you’re slipping McBane, she thought to herself. Going soft for a pair of green eyes and a tuft of sassy blonde hair, she laughed out loud at the thought. It’s been too long!
Just then, Jillian knocked gingerly on the door to Elise’s office.
“Come!” Said Elise, as she pretended to be busily studying the briefs in front of her. Jillian entered and approached her. She cleared her throat, and Elise looked up.
“Miss McBane, I brought the projection files, like you asked.”
“Okay, let’s have a look,” she said as Jillian walked behind the desk to stand beside her. Elise looked toward the door, then looked back at Jillian.
“Where is that no good asshole boss of yours?” She asked wryly.
Jillian lost it and laughed, then suddenly stopped herself and tried to regain her composure. “Oh I am sorry!” She uttered.
“It’s okay, Jillian, right?” Elise asked.
“Yes, Miss McBane.” She replied.
“God, Jillian, please don’t call me that. I feel so old when people call me that! Call me Elise, please?”
“Okay--” Jillian agreed gingerly, “Elise. Am I going to get fired?” She asked bluntly, no longer able to contain herself. The tension was killing her.
Elise laughed.
“No. You are not going to get fired. I was thinking more of--” she stopped in mid sentence when Don Hampton entered the office and handed Jillian’s personnel file to Elise.
“Thank you Don that will be all.” She said and dismissed him with a wave of her hand.
“But--” he said, “I thought--”
“that’s what you get for thinking. Now go, and close the door behind you.” He grimaced and turned on his heel to walk out of the room. Elise looked through the file, and wrote something on one of the pages, then closed it and set it aside. She folded her fingers in front of her mouth, and rested her elbows on the desk looking into Jillian’s eyes.
Green met blue and for an instant the world stopped. Both women seemed to be lost in each other’s eyes and there was a thick silence, that Jillian broke suddenly when she began to feel herself melting in blue fire.
“Uh---Elise?”
Elise snapped to, “huh?”
“You were saying? About me NOT getting fired?” She grinned innocently; hoping her charming smile would cement her wish to keep her job, and her ass out of the grinder. But also wondering why she was suddenly so attracted to this woman.
Elise laughed. She smiled back at her, and involuntarily reached out to Jillian and brushed her arm with the backs of her knuckles. She quickly withdrew when she realized what she had done, and cleared her throat.
“I was thinking more along the lines of promoting you.” She said. “This is excellent work. All of your work has been excellent, and it seems that Don has been taking credit for your accomplishments all these months. It’s about time he got ground up in his own gears, so I am going to let him run his office without you in it.”
Jillian’s expression was one of puzzlement and curiosity. Elise delighted in making her sit on the edge of her seat for a few more seconds. She was so cute when she was anxious, and Elise wanted to enjoy the wide-eyed expression on Jillian’s face. She thought of how her face would look in the throws of passion, and started when Jillian broke her thoughts with a question:
“Elise, what do you want to do with me?” What wouldn’t I do with you?
She felt like the cat who got caught with the canary, when she replied in her mind’s voice make love to you until you pass out, but she said aloud, “Have you work directly under me. If you’d like that?”
You have no idea, Jillian thought devilishly. She found the tall raven-haired older woman very attractive, and thought she sensed a tiny spark of chemistry between them. Yeah right, she teased herself, Your boss is gay and she wants you, so she is promoting you, Jillian get a life! “I’d love it!” She replied with a little more enthusiasm than she had intended to show. Elise laughed, and Jillian grinned sheepishly.
“Great,” said Elise, “I’ll speak to HR and set it all up. I would like you go over all of these projections with you as soon as possible, but I know you will need some time to get adjusted to your new office.  How about a drink after work?”
“Uh, sure,” answered Jillian, “But don’t you have a family to get home to?” She asked, then mentally kicked herself for being so forward.
Elise shook her head, then added,
“No. But if you do, then I understand. Maybe we can get together for coffee in the morning then.” She seemed disappointed, Jillian thought.
“No, no! I can go for a drink! I don’t have anybody--” she stopped herself in mid sentence, “I mean, I am free after work.”
“Great!” Elise said with delight, How about La Carafe? They have an excellent port wine there.”
“Sounds good. But what should I do now?” Jillian asked.
“Take this down to HR, and tell them to get started on your new salary and benefits package.” She handed Jillian her personnel profile.
“Thank you, Miss McBane--uh, I mean Elise!” She corrected herself.
“See you later,” said Elise as she winked a blue eye at Jillian.
On her way out of Elise’s office, Jillian beamed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~

“No, I’m not kidding, Mom!” Jillian said into the phone as she rearranged the desk pad and pencils on her new desk. She turned to open the vertical blinds of her new window with a view of Tranquility Park and the bayou place. She could see the busy activity of the city all around in the streets below as afternoon was fleeting into evening.

“Mom, I’ll tell you all about it tomorrow night, I’ve got to go! Yes, I love you too, okay---bye.” She hung up the phone and glanced at her desk clock to see that it was 5:30. She reached for her purse and put her jacket on in time to turn and see Elise standing in the doorway admiring her view.

“Oh! Hi!” Said Jillian as she was startled to see Elise. She moves like a cat, I didn’t even hear her! Jillian thought, I wonder what else she does like a cat! She thought with a wry grin.

“Jillian, are you ready?” Asked Elise, “I thought we could walk and enjoy not being in a gridlock for once.” They laughed together, as Jillian agreed.

They walked up the street to the tiny tavern. It was the oldest building in Houston, and was a popular watering hole for legal types and the employees of the newspaper offices across the street.  The Smokey little place was small and intimate, and at this early hour not packed yet, so they had their choice of tables. Elise picked a table in a secluded corner near the jukebox and asked the bar tender Khan, for some quarters and two glasses of vintage port.

“Sure thing, Miss McBane,” he replied. He was a tall Asian man, about 30. Handsome and a great smile.

“Thanks, Khan. How is the bike running?” She asked him.

“Oh, purrs like a kitten!” He said proudly straightening the frame of a photo of himself on his Harley.

“Glad to hear it!”

“How is yours?” he asked in return.

“Never better! I should take it out some Sunday. I’ll let you know when I do, okay?” she replied.

Jillian watched the exchange between Elise and the bartender with interest. She was such a warm and personable woman; it was no wonder she didn’t associate her with the “big” boss archetype when they first met in person. But there was a sleeping dragon hidden inside of Elise McBane, and Jillian had seen a fraction of it this morning when she stared down Don Hampton. Jillian was fascinated by this woman, who had invited her to a drink presumably to discuss business, but neither of them had brought any papers with them. She watched as Elise walked toward her, her movements all meticulous, yet sensual, the woman is sexy! Jillian noted. She was angular in the navy colored business suit, but she sat the drinks down on the table and took off her jacket, suddenly becoming very sensual and feminine. Her silk blouse billowed, and it was a silvery color that shone like fire on water in the flicker of the little candle that glowed on the table.

“This heat!” Elise sighed, as she hung her jacket on the back of her chair. She slid on to the chair like a fog descending from a brook, and lifted her glass in Jillian’s direction. “Cheers!”

Jillian clicked her glass gently against Elise’s, soft as a kiss; they chimed when they met, and the red wine was sweet and haughty when it passed Jillian’s lips. The sweetness was surprising, and the fire that followed even more so, she choked and coughed a little, laughing as she said, “smooth!” Elise laughed.

Not a port drinker, Elise thought. Elise patted her on the back, and let her hand linger a second longer than it should have when she felt the firm and shapely shoulders that were hidden under the frumpy business shirt. She caught Jillian’s gaze, and studied her emerald eyes, noting how they looked like sunlight on water, and dreaming of losing herself in them for eternity.

Jillian likewise gazed into her eyes, and found them to be like sapphires. Eyes that were so beautiful, one woman in a thousand might have them, in fact, everything about Elise was beautiful or powerful, Jillian noted. She was like a living statue, a goddess come to life.

Jillian broke the silence when she felt as though she had stared too long into her boss’s eyes; “do you come here often?” She queried.

“On occasion. I like the quiet.” Elise answered.

Jillian nodded as she looked the place over. It was old and musty, but very charming. There were old paintings and beverage ads on the walls, and all the furnishings were antique. The wall had missing chunks of plaster where the brickwork was exposed in many places, but she couldn’t decide if it was deliberate or not in design.

“How’s the port?,” asked Elise, grinning.

“Good!” said Jillian, “It took me by surprise, but it is delicious!”

“Well be careful, you know what they say about port?”

“What do they say about Port?” Jillian asked while she stuck her finger absent mindedly into her glass and licked the wine from it. Elise was lost for a second watching this beautiful blonde sucking her finger, but then she wryly said,” I’ll have one glass; two at the most! Three I’m under the table, and four--”
“I’m under the host!” Jillian interrupted. “I have heard that!” She laughed.

Four glasses and an two hours later, the two women were laughing and talking like old friends. Elise had spent all of her change in the jukebox playing rolling stones songs, and Jillian had been chattering about growing up on a farm outside of Bastrop.

“So you actually milked a cow?” Elise asked.

“Oh yeah, there is nothing to it! Like riding a bicycle.”

“Really? I can‘t imagine!”

“Sure, you just take the teat in your hand--” she stopped herself, suddenly feeling very woozy. The expression on her face wilted and Elise became very concerned.

“Jillian?” She said, as she reached across the table and grabbed her hand. “Jillian, are you okay?”

Jillian looked as though she was lost in space, trying to find her way back. She looked into Elise’s eyes and said,” My god--you are beautiful! Do you have any idea how beautiful you are?”

Elise was shocked, but then realized that it was probably the port talking.
“Uh-huh--Jillian, I think you are drunk.” She said as she stood up and went to Jillian’s side. “I think I need to get you out of here.” She looked over to Khan and asked him to call a cab.

Outside in the fresh air, Jillian became more animated and talkative, but it was obvious that the lymric about the port proved to be true. Elise was feeling light headed herself, and so she opted for a cab instead of either of them attempting to drive. Drive? That’s a laugh, I can barely walk! She thought, as she helped Jillian into the cab, while she muttered something about breakfast cereals.

“Where to?” The driver asked.

“Jillian? Honey where do you live? What is the address?” She asked, but Jillian couldn’t think of it. She knew why bees had waxy feet though, just not her street address. Ah shit, Elise thought, I’ll have to take her somewhere. I’ll take her to the company suite at the Rice.

“Driver, take us to the Rice Hotel.”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Elise’s studio apartment on the fourth level of the Rice Hotel looked out over a balcony where a party was in progress. A wedding reception or banquet of some kind was always going on down there, but Elise liked watching the activity from her veranda. She looked in through the French doors to see Jillian still passed out on the bed, and felt badly for getting the girl drunk.
I screwed that up, I just wanted to spend some time with her, there is just something about her that is so familiar.
She went inside and quietly undressed putting on a bathrobe. She turned around to catch Jillian watching her, and she was surprised, Jillian looked quickly away, and Elise wondered how long Jillian had been starring at her.  She walked over to the bed where Jillian lay, and gently brushed the hair back from her eyes.
“How are you feeling?” She whispered to the younger woman, who hid her face in the pillow.
“I feel Horrible!” She said, “I have made a complete idiot of myself in front of my boss, I got drunk, passed out on your bed, and got caught watching you undress! How do you think I feel?” Tears ran down her cheeks, and Elise knew she was totally embarrassed.
“Jillian, it’s okay! I had too much to drink too!” Elise said, “and as far as the rest of it--you were watching me undress?” She asked.
“Oh God!! I am so sorry, I better leave!” Jillian was becoming hysterical. She was embarrassed and upset, and this was the last thing that Elise wanted. She scooped Jillian up in her arms and held her to her in a hug, and said, “It’s okay, don’t be upset!”
Elise brushed the short tussled hair away from Jillian’s eyes and wiped her tears from her cheeks. Then she suddenly placed gentle kisses on those cheeks where the stains of tears remained. She tasted the salt on her lips, and she whispered, “Don’t cry Jillian. You’re too beautiful to cry.” She froze, realizing she had said that out loud, and she stiffened until she felt Jillian’s arms returning the embrace.
“You think I am beautiful?” Jillian asked. She gazed into Elise’s eyes and before either of them realized it their lips brushed in a warm sweet kiss. The softness of their lips was like velvet, and the kiss intensified as they felt their bodies moving into one another. Lips parted to tongues, and the warm wetness consumed them as the passion ignited.
When they parted for air, Elise sighed, “Oh God!” And buried her
Face in Jillian's short and tussled hair, smelling its sweet clean scent and feeling her body stiffen with arousal.  I have to stop! Elise thought in a panic to herself, but I can’t!
Jillian closed her eyes and let her head fall gently back as she melted into Elise’s caress and felt her warm breath in her hair, and soft skin of her cheek rolling back and forth across the corn silk hair. A soft moan escaped Jillian’s lips and she licked them as she gave over to her budding arousal. Don’t stop! God don’t stop! she thought as she felt Elise shift her weight. Elise’s hands were on Jillian’s cheeks, and she moved her mouth onto Jillian’s again brushing her lips to the younger woman’s so softly it was like silk on velvet and the sensation made Jillian gasp. Elise lay Jillian back on the pillows and slid down beside her, her soft fingers tracing the tear marks on Jillian’s face. Jillian opened her eyes and caught Elise’s gaze as azure met emerald, with jeweled fire.
“I...” Jillian whispered, “don’t know what to say...” Elise placed two fingers over Jillian’s lips and gently silenced her.
“Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...” she purred, “Say nothing.” she said, in a whisper that was inviting.  She placed a tender kisses on the lips of the younger woman, as her hands moved down Jillian’s face to her throat, to her collar bone, to her sternum. Gently deliberately, meticulously stroking and soothing their way down her body. The light touching sensation caused Jillian to squirm slightly as her skin raised over with goose bumps and her eyes rolled back and closed themselves. This can’t be real! Jillian screamed in her mind, This can’t be real! But oh God....let it be!
Elise continued to softly touch her lover’s body, feeling the firm stomach, the well muscled frame that was hidden beneath the corporate suit. She felt shapely thighs, and found the sensation of her hand on silk stockings to be very erotic and arousing. All the while Jillian melted further away into a haze that forced her to give over to her body’s growing hunger. A hunger that began in her mouth and shot south with an urgency she could hardly contain. A moan escaped her lips, and Elise looked up to see her licking her lips with her eyes closed, gently massaging her own breasts underneath her blouse.
The sight of this beautiful young woman pleasuring herself was almost too much for Elise to take, she felt her body rebel and her desire began to consume her like a wildfire, and she knew there was so turning back now.
She moved back up to Jillian and placed her fingers on those soft silky lips, and Jillian opened her eyes and their gazes locked. Recognition!
Both women received it, like a jolt.
“I know you,” Jillian whispered. “I don’t know how or where, but I swear to god I know you!”
“I feel it too!” Elise confessed, “I feel this...connection too.” She took Jillian’s hand and brought it to her lips and kissed the soft knuckles, rubbing her velvet lips over them. Jillian felt the warmth of Elise’s breath on her skin, and the softness of her lips and her body shuttered from the sensuality of it. She let out a small gasp, and reached out to touch Elise’s cheek.
“So beautiful,” she whispered. “You always are so beautiful!” she said, without realizing what she said.
“What?” Elise gasped quietly.
Jillian’s eyes grew wide in disbelief of her how words, “What did I just say? I don’t know where that came from. Elise...” she started
“Hushhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. It’s okay.” Elise said, gently brushing blonde bangs from Jillian’s eyes. “I know.” is all she said, and leaned in to kiss the younger woman with a hunger more fierce than she had ever known. The kiss deepened and Jillian bend into it, losing herself in the strength of Elise’s arms. Their tongues dueled fiercely as they filled each other’s mouths with passion. Jillian felt Elise’s hands all over her body, clutching her closer into the embrace that crushed them with longing. She slipped her hands up under Jillian’s skirt and caressed her firm backside, squeezing tender hips in her large hands.
A moan escaped Jillian, and she shuddered into the embrace and wrapped her legs around Elise’s waist. She pulled back from the kiss breaking for air, and said, “ Please touch me? I need you to touch me!”
Elise’s mouth moved to Jillian’s throat, kissing and sucking her luscious neck, tasting the sweetness of her flesh. She was lost in its flavor, lost in her desire, and she felt the pangs of longing deep in her pleasure center.  She moved her hands from Jillian’s backside to her front side and caressed her swollen mound. The glistening moisture of her desire seeping forth on Elise’s palms made her insane with hunger, and she pulled Jillian’s skirt down and off.
Jillian’s eyes rolled back in her head as she anticipated what would happen next. She licked her lips and squirmed on the bed writhing under Elise’s busy hands.
Two fingers found their way into her wetness, and she stiffened. Her eyes shot open and she relaxed into the rhythm that Elise conducted.
Deeper they went into her lover's depths, Elise amazed at how wet and soft her lover's center was allowed a smile to cross her face.  Over and over, she thrust her fingers inside of Jillian feeling her writhe and spuirm under her manipulations.  Jillian was pupated to heights of ecstasy she had never before visited. She became dizzy and light headed as she climaxed hard letting out a very loud squeal. As she laid back she felt Elise’s lips covering her face with warm, soft kisses.  Elise settled in next to Jillian and stroked her hair gently, watching her doze in the afterglow.
God, Elise, what are you doing? She scolded herself.
The next morning Elise stretched and opened her eye to look at the clock. FUCK! It was already 10:30. She rolled over to wake her sleeping lover,
“Jillian, wake up, we overslept…wha?”
Jillian was gone.
Elise sat up and looked around the room. All of Jillian’s clothes were gone, her purse. She had left. Elise rubbed her face with both hands and sighed sadly.
She got up and went to the shower.
As she washed her hair, Elise replayed the evening with Jillian in her head, smiling. It had been a long time since she had made love to a woman.
She dressed and headed into the office, regretting the fact that she woke up alone. When she stepped out of the elevator she noticed Jillian’s office door was open, so she peeked her head in.
A smile crossed her face when she saw the blonde sitting at her desk working diligently on the projections she had promised to her boss.
“Jillian?” Elise asked stepping inside the office.
”Oh!” Jillian said startled, “Miss McBaine…uh…good morning?” she said shyly.
Elise cocked her head and folded her arms over her chest. “I was disappointed to wake up all alone this morning.” She scolded gently.
“Oh—uh, I am so sorry…but…you see…” Jillian started. But Elise put up her hand.
“It’s alright. I understand. We won’t speak of it again.” She said sadly.
“No!” Jillian said, “That’s not it at all…”
”Oh?”
”No…see…I didn’t want to be late to work. I just got promoted, and—I want to make a good first impression on the boss.” She beamed.
Elise chuckled out loud, “Jillian you have already done that!”
THE END
