SKIN DEEP SERIES -my most famous and popular works, might never have come about had it not been for one dark and horny night when I was really bored, and wanted to write a story...:
Cover by Calli			EXTRA! The Skin Deep series evolved out of a short PWP I wrote back in 2002. I called it "Skin Deep", because the protagonist, Torrid Duncan was a Tattooist by trade and that was the name of her shop. I used to day dream about having my own tattoo shop and that is the name I would have given it, had I pursued that particular vocation. So, I wanted to create an archetypical bad girl character that was an even mix of the dark Xena traits, but also the lost Xena seeking redemption, as she would one day find peace in her personal Gabrielle. Not meant to go any further than the PWP initially, it was meant to be a naughty ditty about the naughty misadventures of Torrid Duncan, bad ass. But the fates had other plans for Torrid, and at first, not a lot of people liked her, for she had few redeeming qualities. She did, however have a deep hidden side that everyone has come to know and love. - BC
