Since 1983, the Old AV has been Creatively Sailing in Exploration of the Imagination, as a CORRESPONDENCE Chapter of STARFLEET, The International STAR TREK Fan Association, Inc. Our world wide membership writes, role plays, and enjoys STAR TREK. By means of our award winning publication, Aurora's Glory, a member develops a character, which can participate in missions, experiencing action of the Federation and beyond.  Encouraging all to contribution, no matter what level of skill, our major goal is to have Fun. You can call us a Beginner's Creative forum. Interactive coordinated missions, which can deal with exploration, science, and whatever else we can cook up, are our major focus. Character stories, science, writing, and Science Fiction articles are highlighted as well in our publication. We welcome lovers of newsletters, folks with no close chapter, or no interest in meetings. We are a laid back group, who use correspondence to get to know each other, share our part of the world, and discuss Trek / Science Fiction.  

With our Yahoo club, we chat and plan for the next story or just share what we are up to. This is also the place where you can find notes on the current mission, tips to characters photos of the crew, interesting links, and other chapter information 

Though we do not have physical meetings, we get out and play.  We are a proud member of Region Three and attend many regional events. We will find us at Fleet’s International Conferences and other conventions. We serve as the host for the region’s Space Center Houston Tour.  

The Aurora Vulcanus is committed to the Vulcan philosophy of IDIC - Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations.  To us, it symbolizes that each person is unique. If we accept those differences and learn about that individual, we are all better for it. Region Three is a compilation of all the members and chapters of STARFLEET: the International Star Trek Fan Association, Inc. within the states of Texas and Louisiana. Region Three works towards that future with its charity work and community service, recreational events, communication and education, camaraderie of its members, and just plain fun.
