JUNE MEETING NOTES

We had a good meeting at Garcia's June 6-there were 15 members present and a prospective new member. We decided to meet regularly at Garcia's so we could advertise that fact and perhaps draw in more members. James talked about his recent trip down the Colorado River near La Grange. We discussed several trips for the next few months(see calendar) and enjoyed a good meal and comaraderie.

Gay,Kip,Kathy and Bob Popp spent the day June 3rd at Lake Bryan during the Bluegrass Fesitval. The Burdett's had several kayaks,canoes and sailboats there also. The Festival was poorly attended but we had a good time paddling in the calm waters. Has anyone explored the tall island to the west of the beach?  Kip tried his hand at fishing but luckily we all brought something to eat from home!
