News: HFES is gearing up for its 50th Anniversary Year...details:

Message from HFES 50th Anniversary coordinator Doug Harris:

As you probably know by now, the 50th year of the Society will start with the 50th Annual Meeting in San Francisco, California, October 16-20, 2006, and end with the 51st Annual Meeting in Baltimore, Maryland, October 1-5, 2007.

The purpose of this note is to share with you with some of the ideas that have been suggested by HFES members for activities, events and/or products that relate in some way to our 50th anniversary and that, also, are likely to be of interest and benefit to Society members.  Click here to see complete list of ideas so far.

These might be associated with the 50th and/or 51st Annual Meetings, or take place during the period in between. The ideas collected thus far might be useful in the 50th Anniversary planning of your chapter; also we (the group headed by myself that has agreed to support and coordinate these activities and events) welcome any additional ideas that you and your chapter might have.
