| Philip A. Wolhar , CPA, is President and founder of PAWCO Enterprises, Ltd., a consulting and financial management training company. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of Delaware and a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Delaware Society of CPAs. |
| He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting at the University of Delaware in 1967. He completed graduate courses in Business/Taxation both the University of Delaware and Widener University. Prior to starting his own company in 1992, he spent 25 years with e.i. Du Pont De Nemours & Company, Inc., in several senior Financial Management, Business Management, Strategic Planning, and Financial Training positions. As a Senior Planning Manager, he led the strategic reassessment and redirection of Du Pont's commitment to Polyester, resulting in the sanctioning of a five-year Business Plan and a $500 million investment renewal program. He also designed and negotiated the financial structure, business plan, and operating agreements for a $200 million strategic alliance between Du Pont and one of its principal competitors, Teijin Limited of Japan. Mr. Wolhar also managed a large accounting and business organization for a $3 billion Du Pont department where his responsibilities included not only the day-to-day management of the accounting function, but also the financial and business analyses of all the operating divisions, and evaluation of every major investment proposal, joint venture, and product/business divestiture. In the area of training and development, he successfully trained more than 1,000 upper-level Du Pont managers and professionals throughout the world, and has extended this success through PAWCO with his "Effective Financial Decision Making" workshop. Satisfied clients include PDMagnetics North America, Hercules Incorporated, ICI Americas, Zeneca, Ethyl Corporation, Columbia Gas Systems, and a number of privately-held firms around the country. Since 1993 he has been conducting Financial Management seminars for the American Management Association all over the world. His seminar experience include thousands of satisfied graduates from a variety of manufacturing and service industries. He has a unique ability to make difficult financial concepts easy to understand and remember, particularly for those with little or no "academic" training in finance or accounting.
