LION FRANK PICKENS II
SERVICE TO LIONISM |

Lions
Clubs Lion Frank set about designing a web page for the Carrollton
Evening Lions Club. When the link for the Club page was added to LionNet
International he was asked to design and host the LionNet
TEXAS site. He took on this task as well as designing a web page for
District 2-X1. In the Spring of 1997 he approached
DG/E Dale Massey with the idea of forming the first Internet Committee
for the District in order make official the District's presence on the
net. With the support of Lion Dale and of DG Bob Lange, the then current
Governor, it became a reality. Lion Dale proceeded to impress upon the
incoming Council of Governors the importance of the Internet and the impact
it would have on Lions world wide. This resulted in Lion Frank becoming
MD-2s first State Internet Chairman. During his third year in this role
Lion Frank joined the ranks of LionNet
Administrators for LionNet International. Currently Lion Frank
is serving as Vice District Governor of District 2-X1.
Even as a child, long before he became a Lion, Lion Frank attended numerous Lions functions and activities with his father, Lion Frank Pickens, who has been a Lion for over 50 years.
As an active Lion he has held a number of positions during his service
to Lionism.
